Climate Profiles are accessible on the Analytics Engine in several locations, depending on your needs.

Pregenerated files

An extensive set of pre-generated Standard Years and Typical Meteorological Years for weather station locations in California are available for direct download in two different locations:

  1. Direct download and/or command line access via the Cal-Adapt AWS catalog
  2. Direct download using the Cal-Adapt Data Download Tool

Custom climate profiles

To generate a custom climate profile using Python, including a custom GWL-based or time-based TMY, check out the Jupyter Notebook custom_climate_profiles.ipynb, available on the Analytics Engine JupyterHub and in our public GitHub repository.
